Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the firm, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
  • Implement and maintain operational policies and procedures to enhance productivity and service quality.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Assist in developing client proposals and engagement letters.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their roles effectively.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback, coaching, and development opportunities.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and financial reporting for the firm.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to improve profitability and cash flow.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Oversee and manage key projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standard.
  • Coordinate resources and staff to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues or obstacles that arise.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the firm, ensuring all staff are informed and aligned with the firm’s goals and objectives.
  • Act as a liaison between different departments, fostering collaboration and coordination.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA or working towards certification preferred
  • 2+ years of tax preparation experience
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
  • Proficiency in tax software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSeries)
  • Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills
